The 1999 online sales for apparel reached $878 million. For the year 2000, the numbers are expected to be $1.9 billion, and the projected sales for 2003 are $11.7 billion.1
Forrester Research forecasts accessory sales online will mushroom from $438 million last year to $751 million this year. By 2004, the webís accessory sales could be as high as 3 billion. 1
The percentage of men who report they regularly shop for clothing online rose 3.7 points over last year, compared with just 0.4 points for women.2
The percentage of women and men who have browsed the Internet for clothes has raised 80% for women over the last year, and 40% for men.
